📂
Desktop Task 1

Create or open a collection

Bag Dragon Desktop supports multiple separate collections. Use Collection Manager to create a new collection or open an existing one, and confirm the correct collection is active before adding or syncing bags.

  1. 1Open Collection Manager from Desktop.
  2. 2Create a new collection or choose an existing collection.
  3. 3Confirm the collection name shown as Active Collection before continuing.
🐉
Desktop Task 2

Add a bag from the Dragon Catalog

This is the recommended way to add a bag when it already exists in the Bag Dragon catalog.

  1. 1Open your Collection and choose Add Bag.
  2. 2Choose Find in Dragon Catalog — Recommended.
  3. 3Choose Inventory for a bag you own or Wishlist for a bag you want.
  4. 4Open Dragon Web, search for the correct bag, and add it to the Dragon Cart.
  5. 5Review the Dragon Cart and complete the handoff back to Desktop.
  6. 6Finish private collector details such as purchase information, storage, notes, condition, quantity, and personal photos on Desktop.
✍️
Desktop Task 3

Add a bag manually

Use manual entry when the bag is not available in the Dragon Catalog or when you intentionally need a local custom record.

  1. 1Open your Collection and choose Add Bag.
  2. 2Choose Enter Manually.
  3. 3Enter the bag information you know and save the record.
  4. 4Use Collection Integrity later if a matching Dragon Catalog record becomes available.
Desktop Task 4

Run Collection Integrity

Collection Integrity reviews catalog identity, metadata, images, estimated values, and collection readiness.

  1. 1Open Collection Integrity for the active collection.
  2. 2Review unlinked bags and records that need attention.
  3. 3Compare local and catalog metadata before accepting changes.
  4. 4Resolve important items before relying on the collection for Dragon Sync.
📱
Desktop Task 5

Connect a phone or tablet

Dragon Sync connects Desktop and Mobile through Dragon Web. The devices do not communicate directly.

  1. 1Open Dragon Sync Devices on Desktop.
  2. 2Generate a pairing code.
  3. 3On Mobile, open License → Bag Sync.
  4. 4Scan the Desktop QR code or enter the backup code.
  5. 5Wait for the device to appear under Connected Mobile Devices.
🔄
Desktop Task 6

Put a collection on Mobile

Pairing authorizes the device. You still need to select the collection you want to use on the phone.

  1. 1Confirm the correct collection is active on Desktop.
  2. 2On Mobile, return to License → Bag Sync.
  3. 3Choose the Desktop collection you want on the phone.
  4. 4Allow Mobile to download the collection data.
📥
Desktop Task 7

Review Mobile changes on Desktop

Mobile collector changes return through Dragon Web and are reviewed on Desktop before becoming authoritative Desktop values.

  1. 1Make a collector change on Mobile and synchronize it.
  2. 2Open Dragon Sync Review on Desktop.
  3. 3Choose Accept Phone, Keep Desktop, Discard Phone Proposal, or Decide Later for each proposal.
  4. 4Make sure the matching collection is active when reviewing changes for that collection.

Good to Know

🧭

A few important Desktop rules

Catalog first when possible

Catalog-linked bags start with a stable Bag Dragon identity and master catalog information, which makes duplicate protection, Collection Integrity, and Dragon Sync easier to manage.

Personal photos stay on Desktop

Personal bag photos and other Desktop-only information remain local. Dragon Sync sends only the supported structured collector data needed for connected Mobile workflows.
