Create catalog-linked wanted-item records without adding them to owned Inventory.

Wishlist means wanted, not owned

Wishlist is a separate collector state for bags you want but do not currently own. Adding a catalog bag to Wishlist does not increase owned quantity or collection value.

The key decision happens at the Dragon Web Gateway: choose Wishlist before opening Dragon Web.

Step-by-step

Open the Desktop Wishlist

Open Wishlist for the active Dragon Hoard. Wishlist is separate from owned Inventory and is intended for bags you want but do not currently own.

What to know

✓Wishlist items do not count toward owned inventory quantity or collection value.
✓Each Wishlist belongs to its individual Dragon Hoard.
✓Use Move to Inventory later when you acquire a bag.
✓Use Remove from Wishlist when you no longer want to track the bag.

Choose Wishlist at the Dragon Web Gateway

Choose Add from Dragon Web. At the Gateway, confirm Wishlist is selected before opening Dragon Web. That destination choice determines that the returned catalog records will be created as Wishlist items rather than owned Inventory.

What to know

✓Inventory means you own the bag.
✓Wishlist means you want the bag but do not own it yet.
✓The destination is selected before Dragon Web opens.
✓Dragon Web provides catalog identity and the master image; private collector information remains local.

Keep the Dragon Web Session monitor open

Bag Dragon opens a Dragon Web Session and launches the catalog in another browser tab. Keep this monitor open while you browse so Desktop can detect when the Dragon Cart is ready.

What to know

✓If the browser blocks the new tab, use Open Dragon Web Cart.
✓The session carries duplicate-protection information for the active collection.
✓Only catalog/session information required for the workflow is sent to Dragon Web.
✓The tutorial image hides the private session URL and session ID.

Search the Master Catalog and build the Import Cart

Search by bag name, brand, franchise, character, SKU, or other identifying terms. Add the bags you want to the Import Cart.

What to know

✓Bags already known to the active collection can be blocked to help prevent duplicates.
✓You can select more than one bag in a single Dragon Cart.
✓Use View when you want to inspect a catalog record before adding it.
✓The Import Cart shows how many bags are selected and how many duplicate candidates were blocked.

Review the selected bags

Review the Selected Bags list before sending anything back to Desktop. Remove anything you selected by mistake and check any catalog warnings shown on the cards.

What to know

✓Warnings such as Missing Year or Missing SKU/UPC can identify incomplete optional catalog metadata.
✓These warnings are not automatically import blockers.
✓The important step is confirming that the selected catalog records are the bags you actually want.

Send the Dragon Cart back to Desktop

On Review Dragon Cart, confirm the selected bags and choose Add to Local Collection. Dragon Web sends the catalog package back to the waiting Bag Dragon Desktop session.

What to know

✓Add to Local Collection means return these catalog records to the active Desktop collection.
✓It does not mean mark them as owned.
✓Because Wishlist was chosen at the Gateway, Desktop creates these records in Wishlist.
✓Review the missing-image, missing-value, year, and SKU/UPC counts before sending the package.

Confirm the Wishlist import

Desktop reads the Dragon Web package and reports Added, Skipped, and Errors. Wishlist records use their own local record identities while staying linked to the matching Dragon Catalog records.

What to know

✓Added confirms how many records were successfully created.
✓Skipped indicates catalog records Desktop intentionally did not add.
✓Errors should be reviewed before continuing.
✓The imported records retain their online catalog identities and master-image references.

Return to Wishlist and verify the new bags

Return to Wishlist and confirm the newly imported bags are present. They are catalog-linked Wishlist records, not owned Inventory.

What to know

✓The cards show catalog images and identifying catalog information.
✓Move to Inventory is available when you eventually acquire the bag.
✓Remove from Wishlist removes the wanted-item record when you no longer need it.
✓Wishlist records remain separate from owned collection totals.

A Dragon Web import begins with the permanent Dragon Catalog identity, master image, and catalog metadata already connected. That gives Bag Dragon stronger duplicate protection and cleaner Collection Integrity and Dragon Sync behavior than an unlinked custom record.

Use Remove from Wishlist when you no longer want to track a wanted bag. This is different from Move to Inventory: removing means you are no longer keeping the Wishlist record, while moving means you acquired the bag.
