Bag Dragon

Add a Bag Manually

Create a local Desktop collection record when a bag is not available in the Dragon Catalog or you need a custom entry.

Local Record

✍️

Use manual entry when the catalog is not the right fit

Manual Entry is Bag Dragon Desktop's fallback for a bag that is not available in the Dragon Catalog or for a record you intentionally want to keep as a custom local entry. When the correct bag already exists in Dragon Web, use Find in Dragon Catalog instead so the record starts with its verified catalog identity.

Quick path: Collection → Add Bag → Enter Manually → complete the fields you need → attach an image if desired → Save Bag → verify the new card in Inventory.

Manual Entry

💻

Step-by-step

1

Choose Add Bag → Enter Manually

From the active Collection, choose Add Bag. Select Enter Manually when the bag is not available in the Dragon Catalog or when you intentionally need a custom local record.

What to know
  • Find in Dragon Catalog is the recommended option whenever the correct bag already exists online.
  • Manual entry creates a local custom record instead of starting with a verified Dragon Catalog identity.
  • You can still use all of the normal collector fields on a manually entered bag.
2

Complete the Add New Bag form

The Add New Bag form contains the information Bag Dragon can store for a local record. Enter the identifying details you know and the collector information that matters to your collection.

What to know
  • Start with Bag Name, Bag Brand, Franchise, and Character when those details are known.
  • Choose the collection status and quantity, and mark Grail Bag only when appropriate.
  • Collector fields can include dates, condition, purchase price, estimated value, storage location, sales information, retailer, and notes.
  • Use Choose File to attach an image to the local record.
3

Review the completed record before saving

Review the information before choosing Save Bag. You do not need to fill every optional field, but the record should contain enough information for you to recognize and manage the bag later.

What to know
  • Confirm the bag name and brand are correct.
  • Check quantity, condition, estimated value, and collection status.
  • Confirm the intended image is attached.
  • Purchase information, storage, dates, retailer, sales information, and notes can be used when relevant.
4

Save the bag and verify it in Inventory

Choose Save Bag. Bag Dragon returns to the Collection and the new local record appears in Inventory with the information and image you entered.

What to know
  • Confirm the new bag card appears in the active collection.
  • Check the image, name, brand, collection status, value, quantity, and any badges you selected.
  • You can open the bag later to update its collector details as your information changes.

Which Should I Use?

Manual Entry vs. Dragon Catalog

Use Dragon Catalog when the bag exists there

A Dragon Web import starts with the catalog identity and master catalog information already connected. That gives Bag Dragon stronger duplicate protection and cleaner Collection Integrity and Dragon Sync behavior.

Use Manual Entry for a local custom record

Manual Entry is useful when the bag is missing from the catalog, when you need to record something immediately, or when you intentionally want a local-only custom record. You can still track its image and collector information on Desktop.
