Step-by-step
Open Dragon Sync Devices on Desktop
Open Dragon Sync Devices. Confirm Desktop is licensed and make sure the collection you want to use is active.
- ✓Connected devices already paired to this Desktop appear here.
- ✓Pairing a phone is normally a one-time authorization step.
- ✓Pairing and selecting a collection are different actions.
Generate a pairing code
Choose Generate Pairing Code. Desktop displays a QR code and an 8-character backup code for Mobile.
- ✓Scanning the QR code is easiest.
- ✓Use the backup code if scanning is not practical.
- ✓Generate a fresh code if the current one expires.
On Mobile, open License → Bag Sync
On the phone, open License → Bag Sync. Scan the Desktop QR code or enter the backup code.
- ✓The current Mobile app calls this screen Bag Sync.
- ✓Desktop calls the overall workflow Dragon Sync Devices.
- ✓After pairing, the Desktop appears under Connected Desktops.
Choose the Desktop collection for Mobile
Pairing authorizes the phone, but it does not choose which collection the phone should use. Select the published Desktop collection you want Mobile to load.
- ✓One paired phone can use multiple published Desktop collections.
- ✓Wait for the selected collection to refresh.
- ✓Verify the collection name in My Collection before making changes.
Send pending Mobile changes with Sync Now
Supported collector changes appear as pending Dragon Sync operations. Choose Sync Now to send them through Dragon Web.
- ✓Desktop and Mobile never communicate directly.
- ✓Dragon Web transports supported synchronization operations.
- ✓Pending operations belong to the collection where the change was made.
Review the Mobile proposal on Desktop
Open Dragon Sync Review on Desktop. Compare the incoming Mobile proposal with the current Desktop state and choose the correct decision.
- ✓Accept Phone applies the Mobile value.
- ✓Keep Desktop preserves the Desktop value.
- ✓Discard Phone Proposal removes that incoming proposal.
- ✓Decide Later leaves it pending.
- ✓A newly created Mobile bag can offer Add to Desktop Collection.
Day-to-Day Dragon Sync
The normal routine after pairing
Once the phone is paired and the correct collection is selected, the normal routine is shorter: make a supported collector change on Mobile → Sync Now → open the matching collection on Desktop → review the incoming proposal in Dragon Sync Review.
